Director of Agri-Business Development
Sue started her career as a management consultant for Ernst and Young where she worked on large-scale process improvement projects. She then worked as the manager of business development for a telecommunications firm. She was the youngest manager in the company’s history!
Sue is passionate about all things hemp! She’s the Vice President and founding board member of The Hemp Hub of Central Virginia, which is a co-op that educates hemp farmers. Sue has a variety of responsibilities at Save the Earth Hemp, including genetics selection, developing the R&D program, and working on seasonal planting and crop distribution. As the Director of Agri-Business for Halcyon Holdings, she coordinates group projects.
Sue’s creative side comes out in her love for crafting. She used to have a jewelry company where she designed and manufactured jewelry that was sold in over 40 boutiques. Her love of entrepreneurship lives on in the consulting company EJL Enterprises where she helps other female entrepreneurs.
Sue is the type of person who never gets bored. She loves doing Pilates and playing tennis. She enjoys reading science fiction books and watching science fiction TV shows. Sue’s three sons and three rescue dogs also keep her plenty busy! If Sue could be any animal, she would want to be a fox. They’re smart, resourceful, and never get cold thanks to their warm fur.
